This morning I had to leave a note for a neighbor, I was in a hurry, and the only pen I spied was out of ink. My mind reeled for an instant on the subject of writing implements when it snagged suddenly on 'crayons!' Well, in retrospect I think 'of course' but at the time I was quite pleased with the epiphany.
I opened the drawer and was stumped as to which colour to choose. Purple? better not, it's Isaac's favorite. Red? nah, too loud. Yellow? too weak. Where's the orange? Brown? too poopy? Well I went with the brown, best not to read too much into it eh?
I wrote the letter and laughed as I did so thinking 'who else but a mom would resort to writing a letter in crayon?'
